This is not very helpful as the background is off-white which makes the lines very hard to see! How can i change the colour of projected lines? Message 2 of Message 3 of Thanks Thomas, I had tried that but the projected lines still come out yellow.
Message 4 of Message 5 of Have you manually changed the color of the line? The color of your line is set to "by layer"?
Message 6 of I have not manually changed the colour the colour is set to by layer. Message 7 of In the construction environment, selecting a body, solid, surface, or quilt updates the Autodesk Inventor Quick Access toolbar.
Solid and Quilts can have body appearance overrides, but Wires cannot. Override face appearance. In the construction environment, selecting a face updates the Autodesk Inventor Quick Access toolbar.
You can override solid and quilt face appearances, but Wires cannot. You can change the appearance of surfaces to make them more visible. Surface features, faces within a surface feature, or placed features on surface features can all have appearance overrides. Surface face appearances are not used when new design data is created. Surface features. You can change the appearance of a surface feature:. Select a feature and change its appearance from the Autodesk Inventor Quick Access toolbar.
In part modeling, selecting a surface feature updates the Autodesk Inventor Quick Access toolbar. Override face appearances. The only option that I know of is changing the selection to Part Priority, select the part in the view, right click and select Properties and change the color there. It still won't be linked to the part color though. I've been playing with this on my last project.
I needed to show each run as the appearance set in the model. We don't have many options here but you might be lucky if you don't need this on a large assembly like I did. Brian Ekins has a VB code but it's processing all lines curves one at at time and that takes forever. It creates layers with each color but unfortunatelly the layers are called as the RBG code of the color very hard to identify and edit.
You can change your selection to part filter select your component or select it in the browser and then right click properties to change it's colour. This is a partial solution because it's hard to select parts and manually update them all the time as the assembly changes.
What I end up doing was to create copies of Visible layer calling them Run1, Run2, etc. Then right click on a part or assembly in my case in the browser, choose "select as edges" and then in the Annotate tab, Format, Layer, choose the layer you previouslly created.
In this case I can just change the layer and all sheets update. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities.
